Comprehensive Childbirth Preparation, $340/couple
Available as either the Five Class Series or Two Day Weekend Intensive.
Both the 5 class series and the 2 day intensive course cover the labor & birth process, postpartum, breastfeeding and newborn care.
We cover detailed information about the stages of labor. We practice hands-on labor support techniques, such as positioning, massage, deep relaxation and breathing. Pain management options are discussed, both medical and non-medical methods. We teach you how to effectively navigate your birth setting and how to work with health care staff. Our ultimate goal is to inform and help you develop your own goals for birth. Along with this, we emphasize the profound need for flexibility. This helps to insure that you and your partner will be able to look back on the day that your baby is born as satisfying and joyful.
In addition we cover the nuts and bolts of caring for your body in the postpartum period, infant feeding, and newborn care. The group setting provides a great opportunity to get to know others who are beginning their families at about the same time as you.
Refresher Class, $75
This two hour class explores the differences in second and subsequent labors and provides hands-on tools for managing your next labor. Designed to answer your particular concerns and answer your questions regarding labor and birth. You will leave the class feeling more at ease about your upcoming birth. We welcome expectant moms and their birth partners.
Postpartum Depression and Anxiety Weekly Drop-in Group
